This page describes the cookies, pixels and other trackers used on fibreherd.fr, in accordance with Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés), the GDPR and the guidelines of the CNIL (French data protection authority).
1. What is a cookie? What is a pixel?
A cookie is a small file read from or stored on your device when you visit the Site. The term also covers other trackers: tracking pixels, local storage, advertising identifiers.
A pixel is a tracker (often loaded by a third-party script) used to measure a visit or a conversion, or to display advertising. On Fibre Herd, no non-essential pixel is loaded before you have made your choice in the banner (CMP).
2. Who sets cookies?
- First-party cookies: Fibre Herd (session, account, security, remembering your consent choice).
- Third-party cookies and pixels: partners (analytics, social networks, advertising), only after consent if they are not strictly necessary, and only if an identifier has actually been configured.
Strictly necessary (no consent required)
Session, authentication, security, remembering your cookie choice, operation of the requested SaaS. They cannot be refused without breaking login / security.
Audience measurement (consent)
Understanding traffic in order to improve the Site (e.g. GA4). Disabled by default. No analytics tool is loaded unless an identifier has been provided and you have given your consent.
Marketing / social networks / pixels (consent)
Advertising, remarketing, Meta / other pixels where applicable. Disabled by default.
No non-essential cookie or pixel is set before you make your choice. Continuing to browse, scrolling or closing the window does not constitute consent. No pre-ticked boxes.
3. Main services
- Fibre Herd CMP — proof and storage of your choices (necessary). Indicative duration: up to 6 to 12 months; the CNIL recommends asking for consent again after about 6 months.
- Fibre Herd session / account — authentication, security (necessary).
- OVH — hosting / technical (necessary).
- Systempay (Lyra Network), our secure payment provider — payment of subscriptions and publication fees (necessary for payment).
- Analytics tool / pixels — only after consent, and only if an identifier is configured. Indicative maximum duration: 13 months.
No cookie subject to consent should last longer than 13 months.
4. Your choice
On your first visit, a banner offers in particular:
1. Continue without accepting (Continuer sans accepter) — refuses non-essential cookies; as easy as accepting (CNIL).
2. Let me choose (Je choisis) — settings by purpose (necessary, analytics, marketing / pixels).
3. Accept (Accepter) — accepts the proposed categories.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via Manage cookies in the footer: this control reopens the banner (a live CMP, not a simple CMS page).
Refusing optional cookies and pixels does not prevent you from browsing the Site or using your account (except for functions that depend on non-essential cookies).
5. Browser
You can also block cookies in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent you from logging in to your account.
